Baseball 365 scored early and often on Saturday in its eight-inning 10-0 quarterfinal victory over the Metro Knights. Baseball 365 will next face Air Freight Unlimited on Sunday at noon.
Zane Rutledge delived what turned out to be the game-winner in the second inning when he drove a shot to the left-center gap to drive in a pair for 365. Mark Fenstad made it 3-0 in the third with an RBI single for the Park National League champions.
Pitcher Noah Danner took care of the rest for Baseball 365 as he pitched an eight-inning shutout, giving up just five hits. Danner struck out eight to earn his second win of the tournament.
The game was blown wide open in the fifth when CJ Smith smacked a three-run homer over the right field fence to make it 6-0.
Smith delived again in the seventh with an RBI double making it 8-0. He later scored on an RBI sacrifice fly by Matt Olive.
Baseball 365 added one more in the eighth when Michael Thomas hit a sac fly to center easily scoring Mark Fenstad, who walked to start the inning.
